Film appreciation

Film appreciation is all about observing the film . It's cinematography , it's scripting , sound , character design and development etc .The movie which we saw was "Charulata" .

 This movie was based on the life of a women who lonely because her husband is very much into his work . she is talented but no one knows it . she falls in love with her brother-in-law  and things gets complicated .

The main character here is charulata . her character buildup is very nice . As an audience we know each and every aspect of her . which kind of helps us to connect with the movie at the same time all other characters

are kept simple so that we could understand them easily . As this film is black and white the color contrast is playing a very important role in decor part of the movie . with good cinematographic sense movie was well build . 

There were too many things going on in the movie but not at the same time but simultaneously ; Charulata getting bored , husband too much into his work , her brother-in-law coming into her life , her brother stealing money
from her husband , charulata feeling jealous because her brother-in-law was more talented then her , falling in love with her brother-in-law ,her husband getting two shocks one after other ( money got stole and charulata loved
 her brother-in-law ) but its was well composed .I liked the start of the movie where charulata was weaving the ''b'' one her husbands handkerchief and that par of film was used to give the credits as not much was happening 

but it had some importance to be given .

Second movie which we saw was "Singing in the rain". It's the first musical of the time. We were asked to make a poster for this movie .So I researched for the posters , how they were made and what all makes a poster ... A poster . So my colour palette consisted of pale colours like pale yellow , light blue ,  brown and gray . I composed the the poster with the Mic in the background umbrella on corner , a car and all the iconic things of the movie and then used masking tape to give a nice border .
